Planting a tree against antisemitism

Source: ladepeche

Wednesday, March 27, the municipality of Payrac invited the population to plant a tree as a symbol against antisemitism. Thirty people have come to support the municipality, which with sadness and a touch of worry has planted a tree, in order to recall this fight every day.

François Nadaud, the deputy mayor wanted, by this gesture, to show support of the whole Republic, vis-a-vis what one can call crimes of hate.

Mayor Jean-Pierre Favory thanked Mr. Thies who offered the tree and all the people for their presence, their commitment and especially their determination.

The city of Auxerre will hold, this Saturday, March 30, 2019, an unprecedented ceremony in Yonne: the planting of a “republican tree against antisemitism”.
