A swastika painted on the Simone-Veil stele
Vanduvuvre-lès-Nancy – A swastika was painted on a monument erected in the city as a tribute to Simon Weil.
The black swastika was discovered Friday morning on the granite panel, which was inaugurated in 2018 in a famous place in honor of Simon Weil.
The Nazi symbol was quickly erased by the technical services of the Greater Nancy Municipality. This act of antisemitic vandalism is not an isolated case.
The memory of the former minister, the Jewish survivor of Auschwitz, who will remember future generations as the pioneer of the struggle for abortion, is now the subject of hate attacks throughout France.
