Swastika, antisemitic graffiti found at High Point Regional High School
Wantage, NJ – Police are investigating two instances of antisemitic graffiti that were found recently in bathrooms at High Point Regional High School, including one reportedly found carved into a toilet paper dispenser in the last week with a Nazi swastika reading “Kill the Jews” and “Hitler was here.”
High Point Superintendent Scott Ripley, in an email, acknowledged the incidents and said the New Jersey State Police have been notified.
“The presence of bias graffiti in two bathrooms was reported by a student,” he wrote. “Due to the bias nature of the writings, the incidents were immediately reported to the NJSP. No immediate threat was associated with the graffiti and no additional response was indicated at this time. NJSP are investigating the incident.”
The New Jersey Herald spoke briefly with Trooper Charles Marchan of the New Jersey State Police regarding the incidents Thursday. He indicated he would attempt to provide an update but did not call back by deadline.
