An antisemitic letter was sent to lawyer Jean-Lou Levi
Montauban – A few days ago, Mr. Jean-lou Lévi, 60, a lawyer at the Montauban Bar since 1980 and President of the Montauban Jewish community said he was relieved not to have found any antisemitic acts or insults in Tarn-et-Garonne.
Since Wednesday, this is no longer the case: “My secretary went to pick up my mail from our box on Wednesday. And it’s my sister who discovered the empty envelope.” At the time this letter arrived, Mr. Levi was in court.
In the letter in question, they found an ignoble mention written in blue and in capital letters -“SALE JUIF”(dirty Jew). We can imagine Jean-Lou Lévi’s consternation when he was alerted: “This is the first time I have received this type of letter since we arrived here when I was 6 years old,” says Levi. I am disgusted and I do not even know if I will complain. I am not afraid for myself but I am for my children. The situation becomes really unbearable.
The lawyer believes that the morons who write those insults “are more and more uninhibited. They did not understand anything. Condemn the act is a good thing, but you have to find them and punish them severely “.
