The Northern League party against an antisemitic event at the University of Torino
Torino – Fabrizio Ricca, a member of the city council of Torino on behalf of the Northern League Party, called for the cancellation of a series of antisemitic events at the local university.
The Northern League, the party of Interior Minister Matteo Salvini, who recently visited Israel, is sometimes described as a “far right” party and accused of “racism.”
A member of this party called for the cancellation of a series of four events between the 10th and the 30th of January, under the title “Memorial Day against Fascism and against Zionism”.
One of the lectures in the series focuses on alleged cooperation between the Zionists and the Nazis and the “Transfer Agreement” of 1933: “The deal with the devil”; The Jewish boycott of Germany and the commercial agreement between Nazis and Zionists (1933: “patto col diavolo”, booottaggio ebraico della Germania e l’accordo commerciale tra nazisti e sionisti)
