Children overturned and destroyed tombstones in the historic Jewish cemetery in Opole
Opole – The employee of the city office informed the Opole police about the overturning of 15 historic tombstones. The case was taken by a criminal from the Municipal Police Station in Opole. Already two days after filing, the policemen explained the case.
It turned out that the tombstones turned over two 13-year-old boys and a 12-year-old girl.
The children admitted to turning the tombstones. They expressed remorse and apologized for their behavior. They explained that they did not realize the character of the place and its historic history. Now the case went to the family court – says senior sgt. Przemysław Kędzior from the press team of KWP in Opole.
