Grenoble – The Minister of Higher Education Frederique Vidal today condemned “with the utmost firmness” antisemitic tags targeting the president of the University Grenoble-Alpes (UGA), which were discovered in the morning on the campus Grenoble.

“The antisemitic graffiti targeting Patrick Lévy are unacceptable, and I condemn them with the utmost firmness, just like the other degradations that took place tonight.”

Antisemitism has no place at the university “do not let anything pass”, tweeted Frédérique Vidal.

This dozen tags, including those for Patrick Lévy, were inscribed on the walls of the university campus presumably in the night from yesterday to today.

One of them mentions “The return, it gauze (ra)?”. They were cleared in the day. “It’s mostly a lot of stupidity and I do not want to comment on personal attacks,” said AFP Patrick Lévy, adding that the university had lodged a complaint for all the degradations, without mentioning antisemitic in the graffiti.
