Antisemite attack on journalist in Bolivia
Santa Cruz de la Sierra – Bolivian photojournalist Samy Schwartz was accused of being a “Zionist agent” when he was doing an informative coverage on August 28 in the vicinity of a downtown hotel in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, where a meeting was held between the presidents of Bolivia, Evo Morales, and of Spain, Pedro Sánchez.
By identifying Schwartz, a protester who was part of the group mobilized to support President Morales began to hurl insults at the Zionist political movement and consulted the photojournalist if he was not “part of those people”; He immediately accused him of being “the famous Zionist agent here in Bolivia.
The photojournalist clarified that he has Bolivian nationality and asked to sustain the accusation, to which the protester replied: “You know what Zionist means, Do not play it dummy”, before being taken away by two women who accompanied him in the street demonstration.
“They insulted me about everything, but it’s normal among people who do not know what they’re saying,” Schwartz said in the video that recorded the attack and that was posted on his Facebook account.
