Faris Kharbat drew a caricature in the Syrian newspaper "El Wattan" showing a stereotypical Jewish face smiling happily while the character representing the United States of America and the Arabs is crying bitterly.
The caricaturist, Jihad Awartani drew an Antisemitic caricature in the Saudi newspaper, "El Wattan" in which the characteristically negative and demoniac stereotype is portrayed – the image of an Orthodox Jew with a Star of David pinned to his hat. The character with bulging eyes, prominent nose and ears holds two dolls – one in each hand – representing McCain and Obama. Each of them waves his finger in the air and creates the impression that the Jew is making the "V" for victory sign.
In the caricature by Jalal el Rifai in the Jordanian newspaper, "A-Dustour" the character representing Wall Street appears as a ragged beggar spread out on the ground and the image representing the United States of America stands over him slipping a bulging bag of dollars through an opening in the wall (the Separation Fence) to the image of a distorted and demoniac Jew standing on the other side.

The Arab World – A NewWave of Antisemitic Caricatures
The Wall Street crisis is providing "inspiration" to caricaturists in the Arab world who never stop using demoniac Antisemitic images.
The elections in the United States of America and the Wall Street crisis have also begun to make their mark on the work of caricaturists in the Arab world. Besides the caricatures that are relevant to the crisis, one can find several caricatures that repeatedly use unmistakably Antisemitic images: the distorted representation of the appearance of Orthodox Jews and the hooked nose that is characteristic to these caricatures. The intention of these caricatures is to create the impression that Jews are the masters pulling the strings of the puppet-like candidates for the Presidency, that the Jews are pleased with the crisis on Wall Street and that, in spite of the financial crisis, the United States of America continues giving aid to Israel.
