Gelsenkirchen – Sources of the police discovered Thursday at midnight a swastika on a synagogue in the old town of Gelsenkirchen. The police are looking for witnesses to this act.
The outer northern wall of the synagogue on Georgstraße was defaced by unknown persons with a 95 x 95 cm size swastika. The other walls were also smeared. “The person in charge of the synagogue will remove the graffiti promptly,” said the police spokesman.
