Threats against the Jewish community in Oslo
Oslo - The police of Oslo is investigating threats made on Facebook by Ubaydullah Hussain, the spokesman of an Islamite group named "The Ummah Prophet" ("The nation's prophet"), against the Jewish community. The message was written in response to a newspaper report concerning the lacking police protection of the Jewish community.
The message said: "I will provide them with protection, inshallah, once I get a weapon license and obtain an AK-47" (Norwegian: "Jeg skal gi dem beskyttelse jeg. InshAllah. Så fort jeg har tatt jegerprøven og får tak i en AK47").
Hussain neither confirms nor denies that he made a threat against the Jewish community. He further said that: "All groups, religions or peoples waging war against Islam are deemed our enemies. Every group or country fighting against us should expect a response".
