A court in Scotland has fined a 49-year-old broker $1,600 for subjecting his estranged wife, who is Jewish, to an antisemitic rant.

The court in Perth fined 49-year-old Mark Symington the equivalent of $1,600 on Wednesday for making more than 20 calls to Sarah Symington during Christmas last year, according to the Daily Record, a Glasgow-based tabloid.

Symington reportedly hurled obscenities at his estranged wife, said he was “Adolf,” that he would gas her, and called her “a greedy little Jewish princess” and “a silly little gold-digger.”

Symington, of Shieldaig in northern Scotland, admitted to making the offensive calls between Dec. 24 and 27.

He claimed he made the drunken calls out of frustration due to being prevented from seeing his children for more than three years.

The court heard that “since an acrimonious separation, the accused has not seen his children, although he still provides financial support for Mrs. Symington and the children.”

Symington lost his driver’s license for 18 months and was fined $800 on April 1, 2010, for drinking and driving after wrecking his Maserati automobile in the harbor at Shieldaig.
