Assault motivated by Antisemitism
Créteil-Soleil, Paris – a violent assault motivated by antisemitism occurred in the Créteil-Soleil shopping center. A young woman named Souheila, aged 18 or 19, of Maghreb origin insulted, beat and injured Aurelia E., a minor girl aged 17, of Jewish origin.
The minor girl filed a complaint in the Créteil police station and gave BNVCA her version of the incident.
She was taking a walk in the shopping center accompanied by her aunt, when she was attacked by the young woman, who for no reason asked her to look at her legs.
Afterwards she screamed at her: “why are you looking at my legs…? I’ll f… your mother, I’ll f… you, I swear in the Koran, you don’t know who I am… you dirty Jewess… I will nail you.” Afterwards she grabbed her by the throat, pulled her hair, punched her in the eye and hit her in the neck, face and teeth…
In the hospital to which the minor girl was taken the doctors instructed her to wear a rigid collar for 10 days. She is suffering from concussion and from a sprain of the cervical spine.
She is suffering from various blows and from pains in the skull following the pulling of her hair.
Passersby tried to intervene and later the police, an ambulance and the store security people arrived on the scene.
The victim told us that she identified her attacker and she has been arrested by the police.
