The words “Death to the Jews” written in Arabic in an El-Al airplane
Milan – the words “Death to the Jews” written in Arabic were found in the luggage compartment of an El-Al airplane in Milan. Official sources in the Malpensa airport in Milan claim that the graffiti were written in Israel, since “there are no workers who speak that language who had access to this airplane”.
It seems that the perpetrators managed to enter the luggage compartment of the Israeli airplane and write “Death to the Jews”, a fact which was discovered only after the plane had landed in Italy.
The airport security forces evacuated the area fearing the presence of explosives.
A passenger in the plane, who identified himself as El-Ad, told the Israeli news portal Ynet that there were policemen near the plane’s window, and that snipers were watching people from posts. “No one knew what was going on.” said El-Ad.
This is the second time within a short period, in which an El-Al airplane is detained for investigation due to the presence of antisemitic slanderous inscriptions. The airline declined to respond on this matter.
