Madison, Wis. - A 54-year-old was arrested Tuesday afternoon after he spewed racial epithets and antisemitic language at two Woodman's employees trying to remove him from the store's parking lot, according to police.
The incident happened just before 3:30 p.m. in the East Side Woodman's in the 3800 block of Milwaukee Street.
According to police, Richard Epperson, 54, was lying on the pavement with his bicycle when a Woodman's employee, who was African-American, tried to move him away.
Police said Epperson punched the Woodman's employee and started spewing racial epithets toward him. When other employees went to help the man who was punched, according to police, he started making antisemitic remarks to an employee he thought was Jewish.
