Antisemitic posters in Place de La Bourse

Paris – the National Bureau for Vigilance Against Antisemitism denounces the perpetrators of the rude posters and those who affixed them. One of the posters was discovered by passers-by in Place de La Bourse on May 10. This is a small poster in A4 format displaying the cover of the weekly “L’Hebdo Shoah Kiri” which is presented as a fascist and antisemitic weekly and a satirical plagiarism of the defunct weekly Hara Kiri”. Dated March 19, 2012, the date of the Toulouse Jews massacre, it announces in large print, with a horrendous heading that expresses indescribable hate: “A tragic Bar-Mitzvah in Toulouse, 4 dead”.

The drawing is signed by Zeon, an individual against whom the BNVCA already filed a complaint on November 2011 regarding other antisemitic caricatures. The BNVCA again denounces the pro-Palestinian propaganda which has been inciting for action against Jews for 12 years, and again files a complaint against Zeon.

The drawing can be seen here >>. The BNVCA reminds that the Bar-Mitzvah is the religious coming of age celebration of 13-year-old boys. Despite that Zeon celebrated mercilessly and with no restraint the barbaric act in which 4 year-old Arie, 7 year-old Gabriel, their father and 8 year-old Miriam were killed.

The drawing bears the signature of a man nicknamed  ZEON, who is already known and against whom BNVCA’s legal advisor Attorney Baccouche, already complained on November 7, 2011 to the President of the Paris Investigating Judges and he is filing another complaint regarding the new acts.

The first posters against which the complaint was filed in 2011 and which were discovered in several places in Paris, displayed a caricature showing a Jew killing a Palestinian baby using a knife. This brings us back to the Palestinian propaganda which is a source of hatred towards Israel and which has been inciting for 12 years to antisemitic actions, and lately to the murder of Jewish children in Toulouse, in front of their school, by a Frenchman who was brainwashed and with whom too many youngsters arrogantly and proudly identify.

BNVCA expresses the pessimism of a large number of the French Jews, who notice that the antisemitic hatred is developing, and denies the Jewish person any human aspect, like in the period of the Shoah, to which the poster refers.

BNVCA asked its legal advisor Attorney Baccouche to file a new complaint. We request that the investigation be carried out promptly in order to identify the person responsible for these posters. We think that the person responsible should be arrested and that the blog of him who signs these posters and assumes responsibility for them should be closed urgently.
