Antisemitic Incidents in NSW, April 2012 (10 Incidents)
1 April 2012
At approximately 4pm a man deliberately bumped the shoulder and yelled antisemitic abuse towards a congregant while walking past the South Head Synagogue, Rose Bay.
3 April 2012
At approximately 9:35pm, an egg was thrown at the front entrance of the venue. It is not known where the egg was thrown from and no person or vehicle was seen after the incident. It was then reported that 4 to 5 days prior a similar incident had taken place.
7 April 2012 (Pesach Day 1)
At approximately 5.40pm, occupants of a passing vehicle shouted ‘Fuck you Jews’, as well as other obscenities, towards the Rabbi and his children at Double Bay Chabad, Double Bay

A glass bottle was thrown through the window of the Emanuel Synagogue, Woollahra.

In the morning, glass bottles were found to have been thrown at the Yeshiva Synagogue, Bondi.
13 April 2012 (Pesach Day 7)
At approximately 10.40am the backseat passenger of a passing vehicle wound down his window, leaned out and made an intentional ‘Heil Hitler’ gesture towards personnel at Mizrachi Synagogue, Bondi.

At approximately 11.40am, the backseat passenger of a passing vehicle yelled out ‘Heil Hitler’ towards personnel at Yeshiva Synagogue, Bondi.

A high profile figure in the Sydney Jewish community received an antisemitic voicemail on his personal mobile, with the caller addressing him by name. The caller spoke for a few minutes, referring to the controversy surrounding Cardinal Pell and stated all ‘fucking Jews’ should move to Israel.

In the male bathroom on level 4 of the main library at the University of New South Wales, antisemitic graffiti was seen.
25 April 2012
At approximately 6.15pm the occupant of a passing vehicle yelled ‘Jewish mother f-ckers’ into a megaphone while passing an under -12s Maccabi soccer practice in the park.
