Resident of the city of Perm fined for uploading an antisemitic film onto the internet

The court in Perm found Alexander Tarasov, resident of the city, guilty of mass distribution of materials with extreme contents and imposed a fine on him.

As reported by the radio station “Echo Moskoy”, the movie in question is a documentary “Russia with a knife in the back; the Jewish Fascism and the genocide of the Russian people”.

In the years 2007 and 2008, the courts in the cities of Kirov and St. Petersburg determined that this film is an information material with extreme contents, forbade its distribution within the boundaries of Russia and added it to the federal list of materials with extreme contents.

Despite that Tarasov uploaded the antisemitic film onto the internet for free viewing and downloading.

The Russian law stipulates that the penalty of a person distributing materials with extreme contents is 15 days in jail or a fine of between a thousand and three thousand rubles.
