Antisemitic blasphemous inscriptions on election posters
Niederbronn-Les-Bains – the residents of Niederbronn-Les-Bains, Oberbronn, Zinswiller, Gundershoffen, Gumbrechtshoffer, Reichshoffen and Engwiller discovered that the images of the candidates in the presidency elections had been covered with swastikas and with Stars of David that were painted with white paint. Part of these posters included the mark FB or a mysterious “RD”. The eyes of all the candidates had been stuffed.
In the small town of Zinswiller, in which the posters of the first round had not been removed, the images of all the candidates have been damaged in that manner. “It is common to discover drawings on the posters, but not of this kind. We cannot tolerate messages with antisemitic characteristics” protests the Council Head, Alphonse Meyer, who complained to the police. The elected officials of the other towns are planning to complain as well.
