Suspended prison sentence for antiemetic text on the internet

Goraj – a 25-year-old man uploaded text onto the internet portal under someone else’s name. He praised the concentration camps and Hitler’s men who murdered Jews. The court sentenced him one and a half year probation for a period of three years.

 

The written text was entered into the internet portal on December 2, 2011. The author of the text connected by using the details of another person known to him and created a profile in his name. Later on he wrote the text lauding the concentration camps and Hitler’s men who murdered Jews. It was displayed for only two days. The account was blocked by the site manager following a request of the police.

 

During the procedure that was carried out, the investigators determined that the author of the text is a 25-year-old unemployed person, resident of Goraj, who confessed his guilt. The District Attorney in Bilgoraj accused him of inciting hatred based on national differences. The court sentenced him to one and a half year probation for a period of three years and imposed on him a fine of 2000 zloty as well as obliged him to pay the legal costs.
