A young man ordered to pay a fine of 1500 euros for urinating on a Holocaust memorial
A 22-year old man was convicted in court of descerating a Holocaust memorial in Berlin and charged with a fine of 1500 euros.
He urinated on the memorial commemorating the Jews murdered by the Nazis in Europe and was thereafter convicted of disrupting public order by showing disrespect and contempt for the dead, the Berlin court reasoned on Wednesday upon issuing its verdict. The young man was drunk and acted irrationally and impulsively.
