Belgorod-Dnestrovsky, Odessa Oblast- a monument in the city of Belgorod-Dnestrovsky in the Odessa Oblast, in a spot where 600 Jews were shot to death during the second world war, was desecrated for a second time, this was reported by Eduard Dolinsky, the head of the Jewish council of Ukraine, on his facebook page on February 8th.
A similar event took place in the middle of January. According to Dolinsky, the local authorities did not explain it as vandalism but rather as the result of very windy weather following which the tombstone was restored. “It must be a new kind of natural anomaly when wind only destroys Jewish tombstones” the head of the Jewish council of Ukraine stated.
